Popular burger chain Five Guys Burgers and Fries plans to open a new Chicago location in the Morgan at Loyola Station apartment building (1209 West Arthur Ave). The company already has one store in Lincoln Park and is planning an additional store in that same neighborhood as well.Source: Crain's Chicago

seems like it'll do well, esp if it's open late.
has anyone eaten at five guys? Is there anything special about it?
It sounds like another one of those "mythical" places to me, hyped by people who move here from other cities who grew up on it and consider it "fantastic." I remember all of these transplants raving about Chic-Fil-A. I went to Iowa and finally had one. Meh. It was a fast food chicken sandwich. Same thing when I finally had a Krispy Kreme donut. Everyone was raving about it. I finally had one and I found out it was just a glazed donut served hot. I replicated it by sticking a glazed donut from the store in the microwave for a few seconds. My guess: this is just another burger. You want a really special burger, head to Chicago's own Kuma's Corner. Get there early, as soon as they open: long lines but pretty much worth the wait. Dang those are some epic burgers.
As a moderator of this board, and a HUGE Chic-Fil-A fan, consider yourself warned MOTS for the foul language above - it will not be tolerated on the ECB. *kidding*
On a serious note - I felt the same way about Moody's burgers. Don't get me wrong, I love their patio but the burgers didn't live up to all the hype.
Alright, alright! I'm backing off! Chik-Fil-A is FANTASTIC.....
(to SOME people...ahem).
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't go to Moody's if it wasn't for the patio.
