Andersonville resident Matt Reichel is joining the race to replace Rahm Emanuel as the Fifth Congressional District representative. According to his website Matt grew up in Rogers Park is the "youngest and most prospective" candidate in the race and offering the "freshest perspective on the very serious challenges that face this country today." The race also includes a handful of other newcomers to the political arena along with four veterans of Chicago politics: Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley, State Reps. Sarah Feigenholtz and John Fritchey and Alderman Gene Schulter. The special election will be held on April 7th.Source: Chicago Journal

What's his affiliation? Not that that stuff matters anymore but just curious.
March 3rd is the date of the primary. The Democratic Nominee and next 5th CD Congressman will be selected on that date. The April General Election is a silly formality.
Wonder why he left that "Rogers Park" place?
What a freaking tool. Cinch up your tie, nimrod.
Its the more casual look. Obama set a trend (as did John Kerry) by not wearing a tie with his suit.
Chicago is notorious for slobs in the fashion arena. I did hang up my "nice" clothes within 6 months of living here but I'm still not a slob. I'll save them for something better. You're not setting any "trends" Chicago.
he has some buck teeth too, while we're at it. what a d-bag! In all seriousness, is this guy any good? I don't want one of those four machine politicians getting the seat.
Obama set the trend. No, wait, it was Kerry.
If you're wearing a tie, cinch it up, lest you be (correctly) categorized as a weenie. Possibly a putz.
