According to this latest story, the REST shelter housed at Kenmore and Berwyn is set to close today. The city and Edgewater neighborhood were unable to find another location in the area as we previously reported. The men who depended on this shelter will be forced to locate to other shelters in Uptown or the west side, or be back on the streets as winter hits.

Yeah they will go to Uptown, Uptown needs more homeless.
Maybe someone should ask REST why they didn't pay their bills? Maybe someone should ask why REST wouldn't pay their fair share of rent and heating bills to this church? Maybe someone should suggest REST be audited? REST recieves hundreds of thousands of dollars from the city in grant to run this shelter, but does not use it to pay the church. SHAME ON REST.
