why don't the employees who are owed money sue him?

Not so SWEET THANG

Not enough solid, physical evidence to sue. He was paying under the table, so there's no paperwork there. He could easily destroy the lists of money owed to employees, so there's no paperwork there. Hours worked were written on paper logs kept by him instead of electronically entered into a computer system, so there's no paperwork there. He didn't even distribute copies of the schedules, so Andy Singer probably COULD get away with saying that all of these people never worked for him.

I am pleased that light has been shone on this situation, but it seems that the other person of the 'Sweet Occasions' duo seems to have gotten away with everything and is still operating his new venture ...Zanzibar - John Richardson is JUST as much to blame as his old counterpart and ex-boyfriend Andy Singer.

I must say that I was siding with the former jilted employees after only a few visits to Sweet Occasions in Andersonville. Something just wasn't right there with the pricing inconsistencies, broken window, etc. You could just feel it.

However, after reading about the recent parade, riot, demonstration or whatever it was by the former supposed unpaid employees, it's quite evident that the illegal immigrant, non-taxpaying, profit scamming game played on loyal Americans has come to light. This would have never happened in Detroit.

Both parties needs to shut their mouths and "go home".

If you ever saw Andy Singer walking down the street, he sticks out. He looks like a retarded, skinny guy that lost his mother. And is on drugs. lots of drugs Andy!

Way to be ignorant and bigoted. You based your judgments solely on a few visits to the old store and the information in the article that some of the employees (who are actually from Sweet Thang) were "Mexican immigrants."

Basically, nothing you have contributed to the responses is valid because Andy did not have illegals at Sweet Occasions. I love how you place equal blame on the people who exploit illegals and the illegals who are willing to get screwed out of receiving the same pay as minimum-wage employees, just to keep their citizenship. If anything, the employers benefit from hiring illegals, not the other way around.

Face it, you should have just blatantly said you just don't like illegals instead of giving excuses, trying to convince everyone that illegals are bad. I'm certainly not buying it.

Oh, and a big LOL at your use of the phrase "loyal Americans."

Oh, I meant to put "citizenship." Or, I should've just said "so they can keep living in the U.S."
